All government schools in Victoria have school councils. They are legally formed bodies that are given powers to set the key directions of a school. In the performance of their role, school councils are able to directly influence the quality of education that the school provides for its students. Sub-Committees
At Tinternvale Primary School we have the following Sub-Committees:

· Parents & Friends
· Buildings & Grounds
These committees are run by a Convenor (member of school council) and all parents are invited to attend Parents & Friends and Buildings & Grounds. Our committees plays a vital role at Tinternvale, organising activities, maintenance and fundraising efforts throughout the year.
