About Us
Tinternvale Primary School was established in 1976. At the beginning of 2009 Tinternvale Primary School merged with Croydon South Primary School on to the Tinternvale Primary School site. The schools came together to build a new school community, embracing the positive facets of each and promoting highest quality outcomes for all students.
At Tinternvale Primary School, we are all very proud of our modern, attractive, air conditioned buildings and our beautifully maintained gardens and playground.
We strive to foster a stimulating learning environment that is safe and supportive for all students. We believe that all students should be encouraged to develop their individual personalities, interests and abilities so they:
·
Attain positive self-esteem and self-confidence
·
Become self-motivated and independent life-long learners
·
Take responsibility for themselves and their education
·
Can develop leadership skills and experience
·
Are willing to take risks and to learn from their mistakes and their successes
·
Can work co-operatively with their peers and other members of the school
community
·
Develop healthy relationships with all people in the community
·
The staff at Tinternvale work as a team to deliver the best educational and
supportive environment possible to all students. Professional Development for
staff and strong teamwork are key ingredients in the school culture as they
ensure that staff have the skills and knowledge to enable them to deliver a high
quality education for all students.
It is
our aim to continue the growth and development of Tinternvale Primary School and
enhance its reputation and performance. I extend a very warm welcome to all
members of the school community. Please come and visit our school and find out
what makes it such a wonderful place to be!
